03Technical information

This sealant is a manganese dioxide-cured polysulphide compound supplied as a thixotropic, low-sag paste, allowing controlled application using standard extrusion equipment or hand tools. It operates across a service temperature range of -54°C to 121°C, with intermittent exposure up to 135°C, maintaining flexibility and protective performance under typical operating conditions. Once cured at ambient conditions, it forms a resilient, elastomeric barrier with strong adhesion to common aerospace substrates. It provides effective protection against corrosion, particularly on aluminium structures and at interfaces between dissimilar materials, while maintaining resistance to limited exposure to aviation fluids.
